Lower Cape Pride honors David Bermudez and Bob Isadore as this year's Grand Marshals for the 2026 Lower Cape Pride Parade.
David Bermudez is the oldest living veteran of the Stonewall Rebellion. Since moving to the Cape over 23 years ago, David and his husband Bob Isadore helped start the Cape's first hospice and bereavement support groups for gay couples. David and Bob continue to be integral parts of the LGBTQ+ community on Cape, with unwavering commitment to social justice and activism throughout their lives.
We are honored to have them walk us down Main Street!
The parade route is approximately 0.5 miles from the Village Green, down Main Street, across Route 6A, and ending at Town Cove Tap House.
To help the Lower Cape Pride Planning Committee prepare for the event, we strongly encourage groups of four (4) or more to register for the event. Please register by filling out this form.
Parking for the parade is permitted at Nauset Middle School. Please consider carpooling! Please note that there is no Pride Parking at Snows/Town Cove Tap House. If you have an accessibility need, please email us!
No Throwing Items. We want to keep Orleans clean! We ask that participants do not throw any items or candy for the duration of the parade.
No Vehicles or Floats. This is a by-foot parade only, unless arrangements for mobility assistance are made with the Planning Committee prior to the event.
Animals. We look forward to seeing you and your pet at the parade. For the safety of your pet and others, please keep them leashed and restrained. Participants are responsible for pet waste cleanup.
Banners and Signs. Participants are encouraged to walk with banners and signs, which must display family-friendly messaging.
Be Kind. All are welcome to participate and celebrate safely and openly. Participants shall always conduct themselves in a respectful and courteous manner for the duration of the event.
Inclement Weather. Please note the Lower Cape Pride Parade is a “rain-or-shine” event, within reason. If inclement weather poses a risk to participants, the parade will be cancelled.
Do I need to register for the parade?
If you are an individual interested in marching in the parade, just show up! Bring your family, friends, and neighbors! If you are a group or organization interested in marching in the parade, please let us know.
Will there be floats?
This is a people-powered parade, and will not include floats. You are encouraged to bring posters, banners, noise makers, decorations, etc.
Can kids march in the parade?
Kids are welcome! Please note that anyone under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult throughout the celebration.
Can my pet march in the parade?
Pets are welcome! Please note that pets must remained leashed throughout the celebration and must be picked up after.
Where should I park?
Parking for the parade is permitted at Nauset Middle School.
